Philadelphia Phillies Win The World Series

What could have been thought of as a curse, a string of bad luck, bad management, bad players, bad timing, has all come to a halt! Finally the Philadelphia Phillies Win the World Series after 28 long years of waiting and playing ball! The 2008 World Series Championship of baseball comes to Philadelphia with open arms and has been the first championship in the area since 1983. Due largely to World Series MVP Pitcher Cole Hamel’s performance on the mound, as well as the entire teams hard work and efforts, Philadelphia finally gets to take one home. The parade is scheduled to begin Friday at 12:00 pm and will probably be the largest gathering of Philadelphians (and others from the tri-state area) in the history of the state.
