Philadelphia Phillies World Series
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
It is official that the Philadelphia Phillies will be continuing game 5 of the World Series tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. What started of as an unprecedented World Series rain delay has turned into one of the biggest 3.5 innings ever played in a potentially final Championship game. Scheduled for tonight at 8:29 EST (with a game tied at 2-2), it is still undetermined who will be pitching for each side. Tampa Bay must use their best from the bullpen as there may not be a tomorrow, while the Phillies may either use the Madson/Lidge combo or look to someone else for the first part of the game. Regardless it may seem as the Phillies do have an advantage tonight as they have 12 outs to work with as opposed to the Rays who only have 9, plus cold weather conditions that the Rays may not be used too. Either way I think we can expect to see a great crowd both at the stadium and throughout the tri state area.
