Redskins at Texas Stadium

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

The funny thing about Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Terrell Owens, is his ability to help stir up trouble even when he is quiet. Now for those of you who did not see the Redskins at Texas Stadium this past Sunday (Skins 26, Cowboys 24), you should be glad to know that running back Rock Cartwright decided to pull out a little dance number right on top of the mid field Cowboys Star. Sound familiar to anyone else?? Yes, although T.O pretty much invented that move, it didn’t stop Dallas D-Tackle Tank Johnson from getting heated and then restrained before he was able to remove Rock from his feet. Apparently Tank Johnson believes that this type of celebration should be considered low class and wanted to “discuss” that with Cartwright. Oddly, I don’t remember Tank getting as annoyed when T.O pulled out a little two-step only a season ago. As an Eagles fan with an innate hatred of Dallas, I like the move by Tank Johnson a lot. In fact maybe they will get aggravated enough to blow the rest of the season. This will be the Dallas Cowboys last season at Texas Stadium, as they will be upgrading to the billion-dollar field that will have another star at the 50. Maybe someone else will be able to throw down a little break dance number and destroy the Cowboys next season too.

Eagles Football Injury Report

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

This past Sunday was some of the hardest hitting Eagles football I have seen in some time. The team went on to win 15-6 against the Steelers due largely to the only touchdown scored by our very own Correll Buckhalter. Other than this offensive push, the Eagles Defense (including player of the week Brian Dawkins) went on to sack Big Ben Roethlisberger a total of 9 times, resulting in multiple turnovers as well as a safety. The question was if the game was worth the expense. The Eagles Football Injury Report is not looking good for the members in green. Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, Shawn Andrews, and L.J Smith are members of the team who is not practicing during the Wednesday routine, and there is only speculation as to who will be playing this Sunday against the Bears. With Donovan’s chest contusion who even knows how much velocity he will be able to get on the ball, and with a hurt ankle, I’d rather see Westbrook ride the sideline this week in preparation for a long season ahead. If you are a fan of the Eagles, check out some great Eagles apparel at Dicks Sportin Goods to show the team a little support!

Donovan McNabb Practice Jersey

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

Outside of good old Andy Reid’s lack of 2-minute drill play calling and a few minor oopses (yes like Jackson and his end zone malfunction), it seems like the Eagles are going to be pretty competitive this season. In a crazy up and down game this past Monday, the birds barely lost to division rival Dallas Cowboys in a 37-41 shootout. Yes it was a tough loss, but good news is that Donovan McNabb looked healthy and ready to play hard! Now like a good Philadelphian, I own a few different game day jerseys to show my team support. My next purchase however will be a Donavan McNabb Practice Jersey. This no.5 jersey by Reebok is officially licensed and has all the appropriate logos, numbers, and names (and jock tags) right where they are supposed to be. Constructed of a highly durable 100% nylon, this is an all red full mesh body specifically cut for McNabb’s exact position and offered in sizes small to XXL . I think the Donovan practice jersey is truly awesome because who else has even has it? While everyone else is busy buying the same old Kelly green or black versions stand strong with a Reebok McNabb practice jersey!
