Bolt’s Golden Shoes

Monday, August 25th, 2008

In an incredible display of athleticism, Jamicain Sprinter Usain Bolt won 2 Olympic gold medals in the 100 and 200 meter race during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. With unquestionable speed (even beating out his own 100m world record time by 0.03 seconds), Bolt seemed to be destined for the number one spot even before the races began. Oddly, a gold medal around his neck was not the only gold to be had in the stadium. As a very customized shoe by Puma, Bolt was wearing a pair of golden kicks unlike anything we have ever seen before. Of course we got a nice little close up as Usain gave his golden gunners a smooch during his over the top celebration. The question remains however, what type of Puma’s are these, and will they be available for sale? I’d say being the fastest man in the world (and doing it with a shoe lace untied) is a great way to promote some Pumas if one was so inclined. So far Puma reps are keeping quiet, and are denying any type of allegations that they told Usain to remove his shoes and show them off to the camera. Maybe he did it all out of excitement, or maybe we can plan to see Bolt’s Golden Shoes soon on the market.
