Nintendo Wii Console Sale

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Nintendo Wii seems to be one of the most elusive console gaming systems ever created. Everyone knows someone who has one, yet no one can ever get his or her hands on one. I even heard a rumor that Nintendo will not even be releasing more Wii’s for the holiday season (can anyone confirm or deny?). That being said, Amazon currently has in stock Nintendo Wii Consoles that can be purchased either new or used. For ages 10 years and up, the Wii console package comes with Wii Sports, controller, and of course motion sensor capabilities. Due to a high demand of Nintendo Wii’s, Amazon is actually limiting the amount of consoles to be purchased to 3 per household. You can imagine, as the holiday season approaches the Wii’s are quickly going to sell out, so be sure to get yours today! For all of your Wii fun, look to Amazon for Wii controllers, games, and various other Nintendo accessories. This is a great opportunity for all of you gamers out there so don’t hesitate too long.

Patagonia Apparel for Men and Women

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Campers, hikers, backpackers, and all others who appreciate nature understand the importance of “going green”. The more waste and toxins that are released quickly destroy the natural habitat of animals, vegetation, and therefore remove the beauty of the outdoors. Buying Patagonia Apparel for Men and Women helps to alleviate such destruction due to the recycled polyester used to construct the fabric. This Patagonia Flash pull over for example is a low bulk high warmth piece of camping apparel that will keep you comfortable in various weather conditions (including cold, wind, and rain) and is constructed of various recycled polyesters and spandex, which can actually be recycled if you ever want to throw it away! The pull over features an off center zip up (for chin comfort), chest zipper, and a high collar for wind protection. Sold through Altrec.com the Patagonia pieces of green gear are currently being sold at a discount for the upcoming holiday season. For any true camper out there, you know this is the only way to equip yourself against the elements, while being as Earth friendly as possible.

Philadelphia Phillies Win The World Series

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

What could have been thought of as a curse, a string of bad luck, bad management, bad players, bad timing, has all come to a halt! Finally the Philadelphia Phillies Win the World Series after 28 long years of waiting and playing ball! The 2008 World Series Championship of baseball comes to Philadelphia with open arms and has been the first championship in the area since 1983. Due largely to World Series MVP Pitcher Cole Hamel’s performance on the mound, as well as the entire teams hard work and efforts, Philadelphia finally gets to take one home. The parade is scheduled to begin Friday at 12:00 pm and will probably be the largest gathering of Philadelphians (and others from the tri-state area) in the history of the state. If you are looking to show your Phillies support with World Series apparel, check out what either Dicks Sporting Goods or the ESPN Shop has to offer. There you will find great Phillies World Series cold weather apparel like hoody’s game day sweatshirts, knit hats, and much more. If you are going to the parade, maybe I will see you there!

Philadelphia Phillies World Series

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

It is official that the Philadelphia Phillies will be continuing game 5 of the World Series tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. What started of as an unprecedented World Series rain delay has turned into one of the biggest 3.5 innings ever played in a potentially final Championship game. Scheduled for tonight at 8:29 EST (with a game tied at 2-2), it is still undetermined who will be pitching for each side. Tampa Bay must use their best from the bullpen as there may not be a tomorrow, while the Phillies may either use the Madson/Lidge combo or look to someone else for the first part of the game. Regardless it may seem as the Phillies do have an advantage tonight as they have 12 outs to work with as opposed to the Rays who only have 9, plus cold weather conditions that the Rays may not be used too. Either way I think we can expect to see a great crowd both at the stadium and throughout the tri state area. If you are looking to support the Phillies in their victory, check out the ESPN Shop for some great cold weather Phillies apparel.

World Series Game 5 Delay

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Due to an unprecedented (yet foreseeable) weather condition, the Philadelphia Phillies World Series Game 5 was postponed after only 5 and a half innings. Initially the Phills looked great with a two run lead that is until some wet follies by Jimmy Rollins allowed the Rays some base runners in scoring position. It was only after the game was tied at 2 did the umpires decide conditions were too extreme to have fair game play. After 403 World Series games played (started since 1903), this was the first game ever in history to be called for a rain delay. It just so happens to be a situation where the Philadelphia Phillies could have clinched, done it at home, and in exactly 5 games, with ace pitcher Cole Hamels on the mound. I am not a superstitious person, but I believe the curse of Billy Pen is real, and in full force. Meanwhile commissioner of baseball Bud Selig was going to resume the game tonight, however from the looks of it outside I just don’t see how that is going to be possible. Another tremendously sad day for Philadelphia and their sports teams, if you still want to show a little bit of Phillies love, check out some great Phillies apparel (and other official MLB gear) at the ESPN Shop. Hopefully one of those Phillies fleece hoodies will warm you up after last night’s debacle. This situation is truly beyond belief.
