One of the greatest villains to ever hit Marvel comics is Dr. Doom. Now I know people like to dress up as the “good guys” for Halloween and go about wearing Spiderman or Iron Man costumes, but what you need is a touch of darkness with a Dr. Doom Halloween Costume. Offered in various versions through FrankBeeCostume (aka the “CostumeMan”), you have the option of going with the Dr. Doom Deluxe costume or the Plus Size Dr. Doom outfit this year. The Deluxe comes with a long hooded jacket, Doom mask, and his signature sculpted buttons. We know that Victor Von Doom comes in many shapes and sizes, and therefore the Plus size Halloween outfit comes in a 50-52, and includes a shirt and cape hooded combo, belt, and highly detailed mask. For people who really want to make their super villain costume look official, you can also buy separately a metallic like mask that looks like it came out of the Fantastic 4. FrankBeeCostume is there for all of your Halloween costume and accessory needs, but check them out before it is too late.

Going to the video rental store could be any more of a pain. You need to go down isles and isles of dvd’s, find one (and hope that it is in stock), then watch it before you get a late fee. Not really the greatest way to watch a movie or T.V series. Amazon Video On Demand puts the enjoyment and leisurely pleasure back into watching your favorite movies and shows. Commercial free and able to be viewed on both a Mac and PC, simply click on the title you wish to view and begin a very fast download. Many single T.V episodes go for $.99, while many of the greatest of all time movies are under $10.00! You even have the ability to watch the key plays of every NFL football game (updated weekly), search through your favorite T.V networks for shows, or check out the Amazon top selling TV Series, which includes Heroes, House, Stargate Atlantis, The Office, and many more. By having the ability to rent or buy these Amazon movies, you automatically are able to control where and when you want to watch for ultimate enjoyment.

As the pinstripes get ready to take the field today in their first post-season game, Phillies Pitcher Cole Hamels will be the one on the mound pulling the trigger. The Phillies playoff game against the Brewers is scheduled to start at 3pm E.S.T and will be luckily be played at gold old Citizens Bank Park for some solid home field advantage. As one of the MLB’s most feared left-handed pitchers, Cole Hamels had a surprisingly bad NLDS start last October (giving up 3 runs) as they lost to the Rockies under his pitching. This year however is a different story. Hamels at only 24 now has a little post season experience under his belt, and I believe we can expect to see some great things from him today. The ma after all does throw a lot of strikes out there. Oddly, the Philadelphia Phillies have a hard time scoring when Cole Hamels is on the mound. I am not sure exactly why this relationship has been occurring throughout this past season, but I do know you can’t win an NLDS game without hitting in some runs.

For those of you who have not yet gotten your hands on an Apple iPhone, there are so many great functions and downloadable applications that make this cell the hottest on the market. Although at this point there are thousands to choose from, the best news about what is considered to be the Top 10 iPhone Applications is that most of them are for the price of FREE. To top off the list of iphone apps is Ebay Mobile (free). A great piece that allows you to keep an eye on all your bidding and buying needs, the application also uses tabs for easy browsing. Ebay Mobile and SaveBenjis (comparative shopping) will give you everything you are looking for at the right price. Next down the list is Mocha VNC Lite, a nice little iphone application that will allow you to control your desktop via iphone (use only over LAN network). For media purposes look to Pandora Radio and BeatMaker. You will soon be able to personalize radio stations over the iPhone 3G network and create your own master beats! When you are bored, check to SportsTap (up to the minute scores, stats, schedules etc.), Crash bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, iProcrastinate Mobile (and who doesn’t), and Yelp! to find local businesses.

The funny thing about Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Terrell Owens, is his ability to help stir up trouble even when he is quiet. Now for those of you who did not see the Redskins at Texas Stadium this past Sunday (Skins 26, Cowboys 24), you should be glad to know that running back Rock Cartwright decided to pull out a little dance number right on top of the mid field Cowboys Star. Sound familiar to anyone else?? Yes, although T.O pretty much invented that move, it didn’t stop Dallas D-Tackle Tank Johnson from getting heated and then restrained before he was able to remove Rock from his feet. Apparently Tank Johnson believes that this type of celebration should be considered low class and wanted to “discuss” that with Cartwright. Oddly, I don’t remember Tank getting as annoyed when T.O pulled out a little two-step only a season ago. As an Eagles fan with an innate hatred of Dallas, I like the move by Tank Johnson a lot. In fact maybe they will get aggravated enough to blow the rest of the season. This will be the Dallas Cowboys last season at Texas Stadium, as they will be upgrading to the billion-dollar field that will have another star at the 50. Maybe someone else will be able to throw down a little break dance number and destroy the Cowboys next season too.

You must love a game when at only the 5th week into the season, the NFL has already decided who is going to be the Super Bowl entertainment. Heaven forbid the 2 final teams should actually be the focus; this year people should be excited to find out that the Bruce Springsteen Half Time Show will span the time between the halves. “The Boss” will be rocking and rolling our way through the half time interval, and then hopefully when the game starts again the Philadelphia Eagles will coast their way to victory. As much as I would love to see the big game and watch New Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen, there is no possible way I can afford tickets. If you are like me and like going to big events but can’t afford to purchase tickets for concerts and sports games, try checking out StubHub.com. A safe and reliable spot for online ticket sales, StubHub can be used to both buy and sell tickets, and is a highly convenient way to nab big event tickets for small event prices.

I have been saying it since the beginning of the season, because I knew deep down that the Phillies would be playing in October. Now the Phillies NL East Champions are playoff bound and looking towards the Brewers on Wednesday as their first game of the National League Division Series. Finishing the regular season off with 48 home runs and almost 3 times as many RBI’s (144 to be exact), Ryan Howard is one of MLB’s biggest threats and should undoubtedly be considered for this years MVP. Unfortunately for us friends of the Phillies, the MVP will probably go to the Cardinals’ Albert Pujols (avg 357) despite having more then 10 less homers and close to 30 less RBI’s. What can I say, Phillies fans can’t have it all in terms of awards and stats, but what we can get our hands on in officially licensed MLB apparel. Especially now that you know for a fact that the Phillies will be playing in the cool weather, you are going to need a Philadelphia Phillies Frost Fleece to keep warm during the night games. This flashy frost fleece is a long sleeve high collar piece of Phillies apparel that has their signature blue color and a Phillies chest emblem. It is anti pill, and has side zip pockets for extra hand warmth and storage. This is a perfect piece of fightin’ Phills MLB apparel to see them through the post season.

Call me crazy but most of my free time (and not so free time) is spent playing video games. I really could care less that while other people are out shopping or “enjoying the nice weather” I am inside trying to take over planet after planet, in an attempt to dominate the entire universe. If you are like me and need games in your life fast, check out GameStop Downloadable PC Games. This is a great way for gamers to feed their need to play the newest and hottest games, all without having to drive to some over priced game store. Basically all you need to do is browse the GameStop selection of downloadable games (ex. Gears of War, Civilization, etc.), choose one, and get ready to play. GameStop in many cases even offers playable previews of these PC games so you know what you are getting into. They also offer a secured digital download and a small software package that will allow you to continue a download even after a connection has been lost. Granted, if you are downloading games at GameStop you will need a high speed Internet service. However if you are a true gamer, chances are solid that you already have that!

I watched the game, I listened to the post game live, I read the sports section the morning after, and yet I still don’t understand what happened last night during the Eagles Sunday Night Football game. What is wrong with this team? As the season is long, I understand why no. 36 Brian Westbrook was sitting out. But to not be able to score a T.D within inches of the goal line after consecutive efforts is just inexcusable. Was it the play calling, or the execution, or just dumb luck on the Bears D-line side? Your guess is as good as mine. What really pains me is to see the Eagles defense force Kyle Orton (Bears QB) into 4 turnovers, and remove any first downs from roughly the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half by the Bears offense. Yet, despite Orton’s best efforts to give the game away, the Chicago Bears kept the lead the entire time and won 24-20. This is troubling to say the least. As a die-hard Eagles fan I am still willing to bleed green, and wear green. However, after this debacle I may want to wear something with a number that shows off a bit of talent. The ESPN Shop is currently offering a Randall Cunningham Field Legends T-Shirt. Perfect for those days when the Birds need a reminder of what playing well means, this is a highly comfortable cotton T-shirt to show the Eagles a full seasons worth of support.

If you are an avid reader, than you already know how difficult the days can be when you are scrambling for a good read but have no idea what to purchase. The real problem is that going out to buy a book or two could potentially be a real crapshoot, unless you are familiar with a writer who just so happened to recently come out with a new piece. When I am in this spot, I normally look to the Barnes and Noble Weekly Picks to get a feed on the newest and most notable works available. Barnes and Noble is currently showcasing Brisingr (by Christopher Poalini), A Lion Among Men (by Gregory Maguire), Vicki Myron’s Dewey, and The Lucky One by notable author Nicholas Sparks. As a recent tribute to the late Paul Newman, Barnes and Noble is also offering a special Paul Newman DVD Collection, a 7 disc compilation filled with your favorite Paul Newman scenes and moments. All of the B&N weekly picks can even be purchased at a great discount as the company is currently offering a $25 dollar gift card offer plus 5% back when you sign up for a Barnes and Noble MasterCard.

Normally my weekly diet consists of fast food, a few pizzas, some Chinese food, pasta with meatballs, and BBQ. Now this may be an appropriate diet for Michael Phelps, or someone who expects to live to the ripe old age of 40, but I just find it to be more than somewhat difficult to eat healthy. A Cooking Light Discount Magazine Subscription is a great way for me (and you, if you are in the same boat) to begin to understand how to eat and live healthy. Normally I would say that eating healthy automatically means no fat and no flavor, but this magazine includes over 70 tasty recipes and pictures per issue! The aim of this magazine subscription is for you to start to incorporate light cuisine into your diet, and realize that healthy food does not always mean eating a bland meal. Cooking Light also gives nutritional and food news, as well as various aspects of exercise, health, and beauty tips. Cooking Light is a great way for people to experience gourmet cooking sans the trans fat, cholesterol, and salt, all at a great 64% off the cover price!

I just don’t know why year after the year the Phillies need to make me so anxious. Yet again the race for the playoff spot in the NL East is going to go down to the last weekend of game play, and the Phills are now only 1 game up. 1 week ago the Phillies had a commanding 3.5 game lead over the Mets and just like that the red pin stripes are just holding on to the play off spot. This weekend the Phills have a series against the Washington Nationals, who at this point at their failed season could be nothing more then a spoiler for the Philadelphia team. The MLB NL East Standings (as of this afternoon) goes: Phillies 89-70, Mets, 88-71, Marlins 82-76, and well it doesn’t even much matter about the Braves or the Nationals. I am also pleased to announce that the Yankees will not be making the playoffs this year, so Boo Hoo for all the N.Y fans. What the Phillies need right now is to take one game at a time and win, win, win as much as possible. Regardless of what team you are routing for, show some support with some great MLB apparel.

If you are an avid (speed) walker, runner, jogger, sprinter, marathon racer, etc., you need a Runners World Discount Magazine subscription. Geared specifically towards people with feet and legs that just won’t quit, this magazine includes medical information, training advice, nutritional tips, race coverage, product reviews, and everything else related to keeping those feet in motion. I specifically like Runners World because it relates to many different age categories, running styles, and running abilities. It also includes in depth articles, interviews, and profiles concerning the world’s best runners, races, and places to run! A yearly Runners World subscription (12 issues) will automatically save you almost 50% off the cover price, and it will be delivered to your door with no shipping charge. This is a much better alternative to having to go to your local news shop (unless of course you need a jog) only to pay full price. A magazine subscription is an excellent opportunity for any runner to have a highly informational and educational magazine, focused specifically on the runner’s world.

There are really only a few “Men’s style” magazines that can be carried and read pretty much anywhere, without getting dirty looks from other people. An Esquire Magazine Discount Subscription is the type of magazine that allows men to read about sports, entertainment, humor, politics, women, bed-time tricks, and much more, all in classy well written articles. This is not your typical grungy magazine that goes over the top on specific topics and pictures (if you know what I mean). Instead, feel comfortable knowing that Esquire is a rated magazine that includes tasteful photos, interviews, humor, and advice that can be appreciated by anyone who reads it. A subscription to Esquire magazine is a cheaper alternative to hunting it down at a newsstand and having to pay the full cover price. Through the Magazine Discount Center, you will be able to get a yearly subscription to Esquire (12 issues) for a substantial 78% off the regular price. You will even be able to enjoy Esquire with free shipping and a 90-day risk free guarantee.

As someone who has recently moved and has no phone, cable, or Internet (no T.V either), I have been shopping around for the lowest cable rate possible. I figure why should I jump into a subscription only to find a cheaper one elsewhere? I must admit however, the best rate I have currently found is the Comcast Triple Play Advantage. This package is ideal for anyone who has just moved/wants to change their cable provider, as the “Triple Play” is one low monthly payment for great services. You will be receiving Comcast high speed Internet, Digital Cable, and Digital Voice with cash back rewards up to $325! The Comcast Triple Play also includes all the hardware (cable modem, wireless router etc) for absolutely no cost, this way you are up and running at no additional fees. Comcast offers a Starter, Preferred Plus, and Premier Subscriptions, each offering additional services and abilities at one low cost. From plans as low as $99.99 a month, The Triple Play Advantage can be installed at your current or future home (just check the Comcast schedule of installers)!

So the Phillies lost 3-2 against the Braves last night, only have the Mets also beat the Cubs 6-2. This brings the Phillies lead in the N.L East to only 1.5 games with only a handful left to play. Lucky for Philly fans, the Mets still need to finish their series against the hard hitting Cubs, which has already resulted in one Mets loss. If the Phillies do get to the playoffs, I say vote Ryan Howard as MVP, and even support his nomination to receive the Hank Aaron award. Currently with 46 home runs and 142 RBI’s, Howard is an absolute threat regardless of what is being thrown at him. With weight and raw power the man has a huge kill zone over the plate, and can sail a ball deep in opposite field, even at a pitchers stadium. If you a fightin Phill’s fan, you should check out the great assortment of official Phillies MLB apparel at the ESPN Shop. From hats, to long sleeve shirts, hoodies (for those cooler post season games), and authentic mlb jerseys, the ESPN Shop has it all for the true pinstripe fan.

This past Sunday was some of the hardest hitting Eagles football I have seen in some time. The team went on to win 15-6 against the Steelers due largely to the only touchdown scored by our very own Correll Buckhalter. Other than this offensive push, the Eagles Defense (including player of the week Brian Dawkins) went on to sack Big Ben Roethlisberger a total of 9 times, resulting in multiple turnovers as well as a safety. The question was if the game was worth the expense. The Eagles Football Injury Report is not looking good for the members in green. Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, Shawn Andrews, and L.J Smith are members of the team who is not practicing during the Wednesday routine, and there is only speculation as to who will be playing this Sunday against the Bears. With Donovan’s chest contusion who even knows how much velocity he will be able to get on the ball, and with a hurt ankle, I’d rather see Westbrook ride the sideline this week in preparation for a long season ahead. If you are a fan of the Eagles, check out some great Eagles apparel at Dicks Sportin Goods to show the team a little support!

For those of you who weren’t around this past Monday night, the 2-hour season premier of Heroes was finally on! Let me first start of by saying this season of Heroes looks absolutely sick. It seems like good guys are turning bad, the bad guys may be turning good, and the already evil have just gone completely villain. All these things plus of course Nikki Sanders (Ali Larter) is back, and is back with crazy strong powers ☺. Now I may be partial to this Heroes actress because she can instantaneously freeze people to death, or maybe its because she is great looking, or because Ali Larter grew up in my home town. Regardless she is very cool and looks to be paying a very important role in Heroes Season 3. If you are just jumping on the Heroes bandwagon and want to see what happened in her back-story (as well as all the other super heroes), pick yourself up Heroes Season 1 and II on DVD. Amazon is offering these DVD sets in regular, HD, and Blue Ray versions, and each is at a great discounted price.
