Amazon Video On Demand

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

Going to the video rental store could be any more of a pain. You need to go down isles and isles of dvd’s, find one (and hope that it is in stock), then watch it before you get a late fee. Not really the greatest way to watch a movie or T.V series. Amazon Video On Demand puts the enjoyment and leisurely pleasure back into watching your favorite movies and shows. Commercial free and able to be viewed on both a Mac and PC, simply click on the title you wish to view and begin a very fast download. Many single T.V episodes go for $.99, while many of the greatest of all time movies are under $10.00! You even have the ability to watch the key plays of every NFL football game (updated weekly), search through your favorite T.V networks for shows, or check out the Amazon top selling TV Series, which includes Heroes, House, Stargate Atlantis, The Office, and many more. By having the ability to rent or buy these Amazon movies, you automatically are able to control where and when you want to watch for ultimate enjoyment.

Top 10 iPhone Applications

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

For those of you who have not yet gotten your hands on an Apple iPhone, there are so many great functions and downloadable applications that make this cell the hottest on the market. Although at this point there are thousands to choose from, the best news about what is considered to be the Top 10 iPhone Applications is that most of them are for the price of FREE. To top off the list of iphone apps is Ebay Mobile (free). A great piece that allows you to keep an eye on all your bidding and buying needs, the application also uses tabs for easy browsing. Ebay Mobile and SaveBenjis (comparative shopping) will give you everything you are looking for at the right price. Next down the list is Mocha VNC Lite, a nice little iphone application that will allow you to control your desktop via iphone (use only over LAN network). For media purposes look to Pandora Radio and BeatMaker. You will soon be able to personalize radio stations over the iPhone 3G network and create your own master beats! When you are bored, check to SportsTap (up to the minute scores, stats, schedules etc.), Crash bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, iProcrastinate Mobile (and who doesn’t), and Yelp! to find local businesses.

Bruce Springsteen Half Time Show

Monday, September 29th, 2008

You must love a game when at only the 5th week into the season, the NFL has already decided who is going to be the Super Bowl entertainment. Heaven forbid the 2 final teams should actually be the focus; this year people should be excited to find out that the Bruce Springsteen Half Time Show will span the time between the halves. “The Boss” will be rocking and rolling our way through the half time interval, and then hopefully when the game starts again the Philadelphia Eagles will coast their way to victory. As much as I would love to see the big game and watch New Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen, there is no possible way I can afford tickets. If you are like me and like going to big events but can’t afford to purchase tickets for concerts and sports games, try checking out StubHub.com. A safe and reliable spot for online ticket sales, StubHub can be used to both buy and sell tickets, and is a highly convenient way to nab big event tickets for small event prices.

GameStop Downloadable PC Games

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Call me crazy but most of my free time (and not so free time) is spent playing video games. I really could care less that while other people are out shopping or “enjoying the nice weather” I am inside trying to take over planet after planet, in an attempt to dominate the entire universe. If you are like me and need games in your life fast, check out GameStop Downloadable PC Games. This is a great way for gamers to feed their need to play the newest and hottest games, all without having to drive to some over priced game store. Basically all you need to do is browse the GameStop selection of downloadable games (ex. Gears of War, Civilization, etc.), choose one, and get ready to play. GameStop in many cases even offers playable previews of these PC games so you know what you are getting into. They also offer a secured digital download and a small software package that will allow you to continue a download even after a connection has been lost. Granted, if you are downloading games at GameStop you will need a high speed Internet service. However if you are a true gamer, chances are solid that you already have that!

Esquire Magazine Discount Subscription

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

There are really only a few “Men’s style” magazines that can be carried and read pretty much anywhere, without getting dirty looks from other people. An Esquire Magazine Discount Subscription is the type of magazine that allows men to read about sports, entertainment, humor, politics, women, bed-time tricks, and much more, all in classy well written articles. This is not your typical grungy magazine that goes over the top on specific topics and pictures (if you know what I mean). Instead, feel comfortable knowing that Esquire is a rated magazine that includes tasteful photos, interviews, humor, and advice that can be appreciated by anyone who reads it. A subscription to Esquire magazine is a cheaper alternative to hunting it down at a newsstand and having to pay the full cover price. Through the Magazine Discount Center, you will be able to get a yearly subscription to Esquire (12 issues) for a substantial 78% off the regular price. You will even be able to enjoy Esquire with free shipping and a 90-day risk free guarantee.

Comcast Triple Play Advantage

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

As someone who has recently moved and has no phone, cable, or Internet (no T.V either), I have been shopping around for the lowest cable rate possible. I figure why should I jump into a subscription only to find a cheaper one elsewhere? I must admit however, the best rate I have currently found is the Comcast Triple Play Advantage. This package is ideal for anyone who has just moved/wants to change their cable provider, as the “Triple Play” is one low monthly payment for great services. You will be receiving Comcast high speed Internet, Digital Cable, and Digital Voice with cash back rewards up to $325! The Comcast Triple Play also includes all the hardware (cable modem, wireless router etc) for absolutely no cost, this way you are up and running at no additional fees. Comcast offers a Starter, Preferred Plus, and Premier Subscriptions, each offering additional services and abilities at one low cost. From plans as low as $99.99 a month, The Triple Play Advantage can be installed at your current or future home (just check the Comcast schedule of installers)!

Ali Larter Heroes Actress

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

For those of you who weren’t around this past Monday night, the 2-hour season premier of Heroes was finally on! Let me first start of by saying this season of Heroes looks absolutely sick. It seems like good guys are turning bad, the bad guys may be turning good, and the already evil have just gone completely villain. All these things plus of course Nikki Sanders (Ali Larter) is back, and is back with crazy strong powers ☺. Now I may be partial to this Heroes actress because she can instantaneously freeze people to death, or maybe its because she is great looking, or because Ali Larter grew up in my home town. Regardless she is very cool and looks to be paying a very important role in Heroes Season 3. If you are just jumping on the Heroes bandwagon and want to see what happened in her back-story (as well as all the other super heroes), pick yourself up Heroes Season 1 and II on DVD. Amazon is offering these DVD sets in regular, HD, and Blue Ray versions, and each is at a great discounted price.

Iron Man Collectors Edition DVD

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Robert Downey Jr. was a class act in his recent portrayal as Iron Man. Lets be honest, Super Hero movies come and go but only a few are able to withstand the test of time and audience approval. For a prime example, look at what happnened to Joel Shumachers Batman for goodness sake! Regardless, since the Ironman movie came out I have been waiting to get my hands on the DVD. Of course however, it had to run a few extra months in the theater (surprise surprise) to get every remaining ticket sale. The good news, is that now I am finally able to pre order the Iron Man Collectors Edition DVD. This special edition has the version of the movie you have come to know and love (regular and wide screen), plus a full disc loaded with special bonus features. Amazon.com is currently offering a pre-order sale of Iron man for 43% off the retail price! This is a great opportunity for all of you ladies and gents out there who appreciate a hot rod red and yellow super hero.

Wilson Official NFL Football

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

We have already gotten through watching 3 hard weeks of football, but how much of that time have you actually played? If you want to throw and catch like the pro’s, you need to get your hands on the one and only Wilson Official NFL Football. Used at every NFL game, this leather game ball incorporates the highest-grade leather and finest craftsmanship, to create such high performance. The Official NFL football features commissioner Robert Goodell’s signature, “The Duke”, as well as a host of newly upgraded NFL graphics and logos. This is a perfect football for any person/player who loves the game, and is tired of having to play backyard ball with a Styrofoam nerf! Keep in mind, football season is here and the weather is only getting better for outdoor play. Make sure you buy an official NFL football that can take a beating in any weather (probably even better than you can) and get out there for some gridiron fun.

Sony Ear Bud Headphones

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

O.K so we have currently have a new version of the Apple iPhone 3G, slimmer and touch screen style iPods, and new and improved Zune’s on the market. With all these mp3 players out and about, I hope you are using a pair of Sony Ear Bud Headphones to get the type of sound quality you are looking for. Unlike many other ear buds, this pair of Sony’s uses a highly lightweight design and included silicone cushions for constant comfort even under the longest play list sessions. In order to keep all ears happy (because clearly not all are created the same size), every package also comes with 1 pair of small, medium, and large silicone ear inserts, and a carry case for loss free portability. Comfort is good, but sound quality is king when it comes to the Sony Ear buds. These headphones use an enhanced frequency response and a 13.5mm driver for unsurpassed bass, and overall crisp audio quality within the price bracket. This pair of mp3 headphones are currently being sold at a discount through Bestbuy.com, so be sure to pick them up today for a clear way of listening to your tunes.

Totally Ghoul Halloween Décor

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Aside from getting a free pass to dress up as whatever you would like (and it be perfectly normal), Halloween is a great time because you get to walk through all the neighborhood Haunted Houses. Some people really like to make their home completely haunted, and include spine tingling decorations, well placed walking dead people, and just the right amount of lighting to make even a trip down a hallway a nerve racking experience. Totally Ghoul Halloween Décor is a great way to shop for all of these types of haunted house, or Halloween party needs. Although this may not lead to an evil spirited house that will freak out all the young neighbors, my personal favorite is the Totally Ghoul Bubble Fog Machine. A great way to make any party a bit more festive, this machine can be remote controlled to bring a thick macabre fog over the dance floor, or (multiple size) fun bubbles to hang over the snack tables! This piece of Totally Ghoul Décor always brings a highly unique look to any Halloween costume party, and can be bought with a quart of the Bubble Fog Juice.

Samsung L200 Digital Camera

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

The prices of high quality digital cameras have gone down considerably over the last year. The Samsung L200 Digital Camera for example, takes 10.2-megapixel pictures for extreme clarity (enough for any print/banner needs) and a mile long list of exceptional features, all at a very affordable price. This particular model includes a 3x optical zoom (that zooms in without reducing image quality), optimized focus face detection, and various scene modes that will automatically adjust shutter speed and flash for the perfect shot. Personally I like the Samsung L200 because it also includes an increased image stabilizer for people who have a hard time taking a straight shot, and pre installed 10MB of internal memory with memory slot for the addition of more. The Samsung L200 camera has a 2.5” display (with easy navigation wheel) making it extremely simple to focus, shoot off, and slide through your picture files. With a lightweight sleek design, this digital camera is currently being sold for only $129.99 while supplies last.

Call of Duty World At War

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

I am a gamer through and through, and yet I still sometimes have a hard time wrapping my brain around how video games have become so authentic looking and engaging. Especially in terms of action/war games like the new Call of Duty World at War, how insane will intense fighting scenes of WWII be when you are playing the Nintendo Wii? The new Call of Duty for the Wii allows you to choose to be either a U.S Marine or a Russian soldier towards the end of war, and plunges you from places like war devastated Berlin, to the dense jungles of the Pacific. With unprecedented graphics and character awareness, you will need to use various weapons such as flamethrowers, grenades, vehicle based weapons, and of course your rifle, in order to rid the world of the last remaining enemy infantry. Call of Duty: World At War can be played in single mission version or in 2-player co-op mode and is available in all major gaming consoles. If you pre-order your copy of Call of Duty through Best Buy, you will be able to receive a special bonus package and a coupon for $5 dollars off any previously released Call of Duty video game.

Popular Hot Rodding Discount Subscription

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Unfortunately for car enthusiasts, many of the vehicles today are created with a bit of lack luster.
